Those words had an amazing impact on me the first time watching the Helvetica Documentary. Since then I have strived to work following the idea that as a designer I have the incredibly hard task to make beautiful things, but the beauty of it doesn't rely only on the look but mainly on the functionality and ability that design has to solve a problem.

That's why Van der Biest was created in late 2012 as a Design Brand based in Richmond, Virginia and providing good work to the entire world.

I truly found what I love to do, that's why every commissioned work is important and I endeavor to translate your needs into a aesthetically pleasant, fully functional, materialized solution.
